i24NEWS, which was established in 2022 and is owned by Altice USA, claims to amplify voices “on the front lines of social, economic and environmental justice.” It offers daily news programs and independent documentaries with a progressive slant. It also simulcasts the Democracy Now! program, which is hosted by longtime progressive radio host Amy Goodman. The channel is available on many national satellite and cable providers as well as through a paywalled Internet stream. It is sometimes referred to as the fourth major national news channel in the United States.
